There will be no water sports or tours available as of the Wednesday and until Easter Sunday. All casinos and discos will be closed as well. Please refer to our brochure or your calendar for Easter dates.

(Dec 08/2005)(13:29EST)Please be advised of the following requirements for Canadians travelling to the Dominican Republic. The TIM manual should be consulted for all other nationalities, however, please follow this bulletin for acceptable documentation for minors and for the use of notarized affidavits.
Proof of citizenship requirements for Canadians: Valid passport; or Canadian citizenship card; or Certificate of Indian Status accompanied by government issued photo ID*; or Original birth certificate accompanied by government issued photo ID*
Notes: Birth certificate and photo ID must show the same name. Birth certificate can be substituted by a notarized affidavit. Notarized photo will be accepted as a substitute for gov’t issued photo ID.
Definition of government issued photo ID: Required for all passengers 16 years or older. For passengers 14 and 15 years old, a student card with photo will be accepted if a government issued photo ID is not available. Not required for passengers 13 years or under.
Note: Notarized photo will be accepted as a substitute for government issued photo ID.
Minors: For travel to the Dominican Republic, a letter of consent is not required for children under the age of 18 as long as they exit the country accompanied by the same person/people with whom they entered or if unaccompanied both ways. Adequate proof of entrance together is required. However, children under the age of 18 who exit the country with a different person require a letter of consent from both parents, the other parent, their legal guardian or custodial parent that authorizes the travel and stipulates the destination and duration of the intended trip. This letter needs to be notarized by the closest Dominican Embassy or consulate to where the parent(s) or guardian resides and translated into Spanish. For any destination, it is strongly recommended that children under the age of 18 carry a consent letter signed by both parents or their legal guardian for each and every trip abroad if they travel with only one parent, unaccompanied, or with other acquaintances.

Full payment is due by EBB (Early Booking Bonus) DUE DATE. Please check the pricing screen on your booking, your invoice, our website or the brochure. Full payment will be due 45 days prior to departure for clients NOT taking advantage of EBB rates.

Please be advised that guests flying into Gregorio Luperon International Airport in Puerto Plata and staying in the Samana area will experience a transfer time of approximately 3.5-4 hours from the airport to the hotel on the day of arrival. On the departure day, transfer time will increase by approximately 2-3 hours to ensure guests arrive at the airport with enough time to check-in for return flights.

Effective immediately, Air Transat will require that children under the age of 18 carry a letter of consent signed by both parents, the other parent, their legal guardian or custodial parent for each and every trip within the Dominican Republic if they travel with only one parent, unaccompanied, or with other acquaintances. The letter must stipulate the destination and duration of the intended trip!
