First Choice Canada is one of Canada’s leading travel companies, consisting of several well known brands, including Signature Vacations, SellOffVacations.com and Travel Choice Travel Agencies.
The company is wholly-owned by European leisure travel giant TUI Travel PLC, which is ranked as one of the largest global travel companies, with over 70 brands, operating in 180 countries, serving 30 million customers, from over 20 source markets.
Originally called “Adventure Tours”, tour operator Signature Vacations (in Québec: Vacances Signature) was established in Toronto in 1972. The company quickly gained a name for itself by offering convenient and affordable package holidays to sun destinations, specializing in the then-new concept of all-inclusive resorts.
Eventually, Adventure acquired well-established regional tour operators in Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Montreal, giving the group a unique national presence. The entire group was acquired by First Choice in 1994.
Starting in 2000, the company set on a path of vertical integration, and has since acquired an array of travel agencies across the country now operating as Travel Choice and SellOffVacations.com.
