Safety First Policy with Signature Vacations

There is no need to worry about the possibility of future foreign affair advisories when researching your next Signature Vacation.  We have you covered!

All customers who book a holiday with Signature Vacations for departures June 01, 2009 to April 30, 2010 are automatically enrolled in Signature’s Safety First Policy, taking the worry out of their holiday.

If the Canadian Government issues a Travel Advisory recommending Canadians defer non-essential travel for the country or area you are visiting, which is in effect within 7 days of your planned departure, we will provide you with four options to ensure that your holiday plans are not spoiled:

1. Defer your departure: Rebook your holiday with Signature Vacations to the same destination for a departure within 90 days of your original departure date at the applicable system cost*

2. Change your destination: Change to another available destination with Signature Vacations for travel within 90 days of your original departure date at the applicable system cost*.

3. Receive a full vacation credit**: Receive a full credit of all payments made with Signature Vacations (excluding the costs of any insurance policy purchased).

4. Keep on Travelling: In the event that Signature Vacations is still operating into the affected region, you can keep your travel plans.

If you are already in destination when a travel advisory occurs, Signature Vacations will either provide return air transportation as originally planned, or dependent on the severity of the situation, may schedule an earlier evacuation flight.  If you are evacuated from the destination within 48 hours of arrival on a minimum 7 night vacation, you will be provided a travel voucher for the full revenue on your Signature Vacations’ file, excluding taxes.  If you are evacuated more than 48 hours after arriving in destination, you will receive a refund in the form of a Signature travel voucher for the portion of your accommodation costs that have been disrupted. These vouchers are valid for one full year**. Costs related to the air and transfer portion of your holiday will not be refunded. Any additional or incidental expenses incurred are the sole responsibility of the customer. For customers travelling “Air Only”, Signature is not liable to refund part or in full any unused accommodation costs incurred by the customers.

This offer is subject to change or cancellation. All bookings and vouchers provided are non-transferable. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of the current Signature brochure for additional details.  *If new system rate is lower than original system rate, there will be no refund offered. **Travel credit will be valid for 1 year from the date issued and all travel must be booked at least 60 days in advance. An advisory against non-essential travel is only valid when it is on listed on the Canadian Government’s official Foreign Affairs site: www.voyage.gc.ca.  Signature Vacations, a division of First Choice Canada Inc.
